Lowroller - cheap full-board CNC

Think Big - Even with my large CNC in the Basement there are sometimes bigger Ideas that require a machine to work on a full sheet of plywood. After hearing about the Maslow hanging CNC my first Idea was to build something like that. But the cutting performance and speed seems to be quite low on that kind of machines. When i saw the Lowrider 2 machine i thought about building that one. Searching arround in the basement i found the coreXY Portal i build some time ago. I disassembled that one for the parts and thought why not building a larger machine based on the 2020/2040 profile and openbuild rollers - The Lowroller CNC. The plan is to put the whole thing vertical afterwords (like the Maslow) so that it will not take of that much space. The size of the machine can be easily modified, the long axis might even just be screwed to the actual material that will be cut. We will see…
